How it works under the hood
How are match scores calculated?
Each component family defines a set of attributes. Hard attributes (package, core architecture, supply voltage) must match. Soft attributes (clock speed, temperature range, flash size) are scored by closeness and weighted. The final score is the weighted sum; the per-attribute breakdown is exposed on every result so the engineer can make the call.
Where does pricing and stock data come from?
We aggregate live pricing and stock from a network of verified suppliers and our internal CrossMyPart catalogue. All quoted prices are indicative; live unit price and stock are re-checked at checkout and any drift is flagged before the order is placed.
How is order placement integrated with Odoo?
On order confirmation, a purchase order payload is written to the odoo_sync_events table. If Odoo credentials are configured, the connector POSTs the payload to Odoo’s JSON-RPC endpoint and stamps the result. Otherwise the row stays as pending_creds and is retried once Odoo comes online.
What file formats does BOM upload accept?
CSV, XLSX, XLS, and tab-delimited TXT. Maximum file size 5 MB, maximum 200 line items per upload. The parser auto-detects part-number / manufacturer / quantity / reference-designator columns under a range of common header names.
